Happy New Year!
We have been hard at work during December and have a bumper crop of new improvements to Market Dojo.
Improved security administration
Our ‘Host Permissions’ page has had an overhaul. It has been redesigned and rewritten from the ground up. It is now much quicker to manage a users permissions because all the settings are available in one place, and can be quickly amended without having to refresh the screen.
To compliment the calendar available on the dashboard, we have now added calendar entries to invitation and message emails. These mean that participants can use their calendar to keep track of key deadlines of the events they are participating in. Now there really is no excuse to miss a submisssion deadline!
Improved scoring for dependent questions
For some time we have had the ability to connect questions. For example:
Q1. Do you offer Construction Services
Q2. Do you hold a Construction Industry Scheme Certificate
We only want to ask Question 2 if the answer to Question 1 is ‘Yes’.
However, when it came to scoring, it was necessary to score Q1 manually, regardless of the participants answer.
With this release, we will automatically score Q1 if Q2 is not required. This will save scorers time and allow to focus on areas where their judgement is most important.
Better questionnaire exports
When you export questionnaire answers to Excel, we will now show 1-column table in a neater format. This makes them easier to work with in Excel. We have had this feature in SIM for some time, and have now brought it to Market Dojo too.
Supplier onboarding – mass re-invite button
Our customers have asked us to make it easier to re-invite several suppliers in one go. Now you can !
Supplier onboarding – show automated messages on messages tab
The messages tab now also shows ‘system’ messages so that you can keep track of exactly what communications have been sent to a participant.
Making Quick Quotes even quicker
We removed a couple more clicks from the process of creating a quick quote. Firstly, you dont have to tick a box before uploading a document. Secondly, you don’t need to click a button before creating your first lot or question.
As usual, we have made a lot of small tweaks and improvements to make the system work better for our users.
Introducing our new product Quick Quotes. Very simply, Quick Quotes is a ‘quotation portal’ that can be used by anyone, just as easily as email. It’s metaphorically flown off our shelves – the proof is in the pudding
Quick Quotes can be used by anyone; from a startup company to a huge organisation. If you need to buy something and need to find the best value, you can use quick quotes.
It has had a huge interest in its ability to help manage tail spend in large organisations.
No idea what tail spend is and whether that matters to you?
Very simply tail spend can be classified by looking at your spend using the Pareto rule. 20% of your spend split between 80% of the categories. Sounds confusing?
Let’s put it simply and show it with your own day to day spend.
You most probably spend 80% of your money on 20% of the categories – food, rent, petrol and bills. The remaining 20% of spend is used on the remaining 80% of categories. This could be golfing, football tickets or even beers.
You probably budget for the 20% of categories better than you do for the remaining 80% as they’re the most pertinent. However, neglect the 80% can lead to overspend you aren’t aware of due to the fact that they’re not as important.
“We are very excited about the potential for Quick Quotes. We finally have a tool which is comparable to email with the added benefits of data centralisation, visibility, compliance and increased savings through the ability to easily scale to more approved suppliers without the extra overhead”
Alun Rafique, Co-founder
Let’s say you’re a procurement team for a large organisation. This organisation has decentralised procurement in branches dotted in different locations throughout Europe. How do you keep an eye on their quotation activities? How do you know whether they’re using approved suppliers?
Quick Quotes allows all that information to be stored in one easily adoptable portal. You don’t have to sift through emails or through the filing tray. It is all readily available on the web browser. Using our hierarchy you can also select who can see which events from within the organisation.
Save time and money
We have found that by using a tool instead of emails generates more savings. This is due to a number of reasons. Firstly the platform by its very nature encourages suppliers to sharpen their pencils even though it’s just a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Secondly, if you use email, you normally limit the number of suppliers due to the plethora of questions via email through to challenges with collating the multitude of different pricing formats that invariably come in. With Quick Quotes, you can send to …5…10 additional suppliers with little extra overhead thereby ensuring you find the actual market price.
You can append advice from the central procurement team to the portal to help anyone accessing it move forward quickly in line with company policy. The tool also gives access to pre-approved groups of suppliers that can be set up by central procurement thus ensuring everyone uses the best supplier pools.
Quick Quotes will help you save time and money and eliminate the inefficiencies of email. Give us a call or drop us a chat to find out more. We look forward to hearing from you. You can try for a month for FREE.
